About this tool

Singapore Nutri-Grade Generator grades pre-packaged and freshly prepared beverages A–D using Singapore's official thresholds, then renders a downloadable front-of-pack mark.

  • Two nutrients per 100 ml: total sugar and saturated fat.
  • The drink takes the poorer of its sugar grade and saturated-fat grade.
  • Non-sugar sweeteners cap the grade at B.
  • Mandatory mark for C & D; advertising banned for D.
  • Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

About Singapore Nutri-Grade Generator

Singapore's Nutri-Grade scheme requires beverages to carry a front-of-pack grade from A to D, based on two nutrients measured per 100 ml: total sugar and saturated fat. The grade is the poorer of the sugar grade and the saturated-fat grade — so a low-sugar drink that is high in saturated fat still grades down. Working this out by hand means checking two threshold tables and remembering the combination rule.

This generator takes your sugar and saturated fat values (per 100 ml, or per serving with a volume to normalise) and computes the official grade, including the rule that any non-sugar sweetener caps a drink at Grade B. It shows each nutrient's sub-grade, the sugar percentage that appears on the mark, and whether the mark is mandatory or advertising is restricted, then renders a Nutri-Grade mark you can export as PNG or PDF.

All calculations run in your browser — your product figures stay on your device, which makes it safe to grade drinks that aren't on sale yet. Colours approximate the official HPB palette; always verify the exact mark artwork and your nutrient data against the HPB specifications before printing.

How to use Singapore Nutri-Grade Generator

  1. Choose the input basis

Enter values per 100 ml, or pick per serving and add the serving volume so the tool can normalise to per 100 ml.

  2. Enter sugar and saturated fat

Type the total sugar and saturated fat content. Both are required to compute a grade.

  3. Flag any sweeteners

Turn on the non-sugar sweetener switch if the drink contains any sweetener — it caps the grade at B.

  4. Read the grade and export

Review the overall grade, sub-grades, and labelling notices, then download the Nutri-Grade mark as PNG or PDF.
